After getting off to a rollicking start in Lahore, the Asia Cup Super Four caravan moves to Colombo, where the tournament's remaining six fixtures, including the final, will be played between September 9 and 17. However, the venue's weather forecast doesn't look very promising, with rain looming large over every single game, including the high-voltage encounter between arch-rivals India and Pakistan

So, as cricket fans across the globe are curious to know more about Colombo weather for the next few days, here's an attempt to provide them with the same information.

Colombo Weather Forecast for next 10 days

Amidst plenty of talks between the concerned boards and the ACC, it has been decided that the remaining Asia Cup 2023 fixtures will be played at the R Premadasa stadium in Colombo as per the original schedule. However, the weather in the city seems to have other ideas, with heavy downpour likely to interrupt the proceedings in almost every game.

According to weather.com, Colombo might witness significant rainfall from September 9 to 17, with the chances of precipitation reading as high as 60-70 per cent on each day.

So, we could see several rain-marred encounters, some of which might conclude in washouts in the coming week.

What If India vs Pakistan Super 4 Game is Called Off?

The intense group-stage game between India and Pakistan in Pallekele ended in a tame washout, as rain played spoilsport after India posted a competitive 266-run total on the board. Something similar is expected in the Super 4 clash between the arch-rivals, with the chances of precipitation reading a whopping 90 per cent in Colombo on September 10.

So, if the game is abandoned, both teams will get one point each. While Pakistan will continue to remain at the top in the Super 4 standings with three points, India's position will be subjected to the outcome of the second game between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. So, all in all, the Men in Blue will be desperate to secure a victory in order to consolidate their chances of making it into the final.
