The Day 1 of the third Test between India and Australia has been abandoned owing to the terrible weather conditions. The Play on Day One was called off due to rain. However, the action will resume at 5:20 AM IST/9:50 AM Local Time on the remaining days, with a minimum of 98 overs to be bowled on each day.
Earlier in the game, India won the toss and opted to field first. Australian openers started strong as Usman Khwaja took the onus of hitting the Indian bowling arsenal. According to AccuWeather's latest weather predictions things do not look too promising for the Day 2 of the 3rd Test between India and Australia at The Gabba, Brisbane. After a non-stop rain show on Day 1, predictions suggest that the second day, too, would witness severe interruptions during the game.
While the temperature is expected to somewhere between 30° C to 35°C, it is expected to be relatively windy and cool. The winds will be coming in form the South East region at a speed of 15 km/hr. However, a big problematic sign is the hefty probability of precipitation. As per the forecast, there is a 56% chance of rain accompanied by a 15% probability of thunderstorms.
There is also a thick cloud cover of 99%, meaning that the sky will be cloudy for much of the day. Just like Day 1, the rain might play spoilsport as fans could witness delays and interruptions.
