Durdanto Dhaka, previously known as Dhaka Dominators, is off to a winning start this BBL season. They defeated defending champions Comilla Victorians in the series opener to gain the early winning momentum on their side.
Shoriful Islam and Taskin Ahmed were terrific with the ball as they plucked five wickets together. Taskin especially removed two set Comilla batters to restrict the opposition to a below-par score.
In the chase, Dhaka opener Danushka Gunathilaka and Mohammad Naim put up a stunning 100-run partnership to secure a comfortable victory for their side.
While the series opener went in Durdanto's favor, the team needs to be wary of the middle-order woes henceforth. Against the Victorians, the middle order collapsed, which stretched the game to the last over.
Thus, Dhaka must avert that lone issue against the Chattogram Challengers.

Meanwhile, Chattogram Challengers also kicked off their campaign with a commanding victory over Sylhet Strikers. The wicket was a batter paradise as both sides produced fireworks with the willow.
After restricting the Strikers to a decent score of 177 runs, Shahadat Hossain and Najibullah Zadran put up a 100+ runs partnership for the fourth wicket to guide the Challengers home.
That being said, Chattogram Challengers did everything right in its opening game. However, the loss against the Khulna Tigers exposed it's batting depth.
Besides, Durdanto Dhaka’s top order is solid. Thus, the Challengers wouldn't want to take any risks and strive to keep the winning momentum going.
