Bavuma returns, India unchanged as South Africa invite KL Rahul and co to bat in 2nd ODI

On Wednesday, December 3, India and South Africa locked horns for the 2nd ODI of the three-match series at the Raipur Stadium. The hosts are fresh off a win and are looking to clinch the ongoing match. 

For the 2nd ODI, Temba Bavuma, who rested in the first ODI, returned to the line-up. During the toss, India extended their curse and the Proteas won the toss and opted to field first in the do-or-die game for the Proteas.  

Talking about the team changes, South Africa made three changes, Temba, Keshav Maharaj and Lungi Ngidi come in.

India vs South Africa 2nd ODI: Captains thought

Temba Bavuma (South Africa Captain): "We are going to bowl first. Very hard to say about the pitch, to be honest with you. Looks like it is on the drier side. We hope dew comes in as the game progresses and the batting gets easier. We have made 3 changes."

KL Rahul: "We’re one up in the series, and we’d love to finish it here. The last game was really good for us - a lot of positives, and we just want to continue playing the same way. The boys are in good shape, confident, and excited for this one."
