Deepak Chahar Unlocks New Milestone

After the Chennai Super Kings released Deepak Chahar before the IPL 2025 mega auction, fans were in shock. As the pacer stepped into the auction, Mumbai Indians didn’t lose the chance and named him with a whopping price of 9.25 crore. In his debut match for the franchise, Chahar achieved a new milestone, this time in a different role.

While batting first, Mumbai Indians faced massive batting woes while batting first. In front of CSK’s dominant bowling, the MI batters failed to showcase their brilliance. However, pacer Deepak Chahar, batting at number 9, came to the rescue with a fiery unbeaten knock of 28 runs off 15 deliveries. His quickfire innings played a pivotal role in boosting the total, helping MI post a competitive score on the board.

With that knock, Deepak Chahar unlocked an incredible milestone as a batter. With his unbeaten 28-run knock, Chahar secured 3rd highest individual scorer while batting at number 9 for Mumbai Indians in the IPL, surpassing Tim Southee. Harbhajan Singh is holding the first position as he smashed an unbeaten 49 runs against Deccan Chargers in IPL 2010.
