The second semi-final of the Men’s Asian Games T20 2023 will be played between Pakistan and Afghanistan on Friday, October 6 at Pingfeng Campus Cricket Field, Hangzhou.

Pakistan 

Pakistan comfortably reached the semifinals by defeating Hong Kong with a convincing 68-run win in the second quarterfinal. Pakistan's batting performance may have lacked flair against Hong Kong, but their lower-order batters prevented a potential collapse by contributing to a total of 160 runs in the allotted 20 overs. In response, Pakistan's bowlers were exceptional, dismissing Hong Kong for a mere 92 runs. 

Afghanistan 

On the other hand, Afghanistan advanced to the semifinals by narrowly defeating Sri Lanka by a margin of just eight runs in the third quarterfinal. Despite being bowled out for 116 runs in 18.3 overs during their innings, Afghanistan's bowlers stepped up and bundled out Sri Lanka for 108 runs in 19.1 overs. They will be looking to continue their winning momentum.
