However, he remains one of the top cricketers in the Delhi cricket circuit and has now started DPL 2025 on a bright note. He smashed 55 in the first match against South Delhi Superstarz and has backed it up with a blistering unbeaten 73 off 38 balls. He hit six fours and five sixes in his knock and ensured that his team crossed the 200-run mark against West Delhi Lions.

He did not attack the spinners initially in his innings, but once the pacers came into the attack, Anuj Rawat decided to unleash his range. He found an able partner in the form of Mayank Rawat, and the duo built a stand of 97 runs off just 53 balls to put East Delhi in a strong position.
Interestingly, the left-handed batter scored 54 of his 73 runs in his boundaries and was brutal against pacers. He scored 59 runs against fast bowlers at a strike-rate of 245.83 and has put his team on the course to make it two in two this season.
