Travis Head is known for his aggressive batting and has been pretty successful with that approach across formats in the last few years. However, against West Indies in the opening Test at the Kensington Oval, the batter has shown a different side to his batting.

The Australian number 5 has batted with great patience in both innings and has scored fifties in each of those to keep Australia going in the game. Travis Head scored 59 off 78 balls on the opening day of the Test, while he reached his second fifty of the game on Day 3 in 77 balls. He eventually lost his wicket at a score of 61 but his knock made sure that Australia get back on track.

Interestingly, no other batter has reached the 50-run mark in this Test, which speaks a lot about the quality and the character Travis Head possesses. Both the innings have come when Australia were under pressure. In the first outing, he walked out to bat at 22-3 and took his team's score to 180 on a pitch with a good amount of help for the seamers.

In the second outing, the pressure was on again, with Australia 57-3 after conceding a 10-run lead in the first innings. His luck did help him a bit as he was dropped twice but Head also kept his cool and did not throw away his wicket under pressure.

In the end, Head's twin fifties might make all the difference in a low-scoring game where run-scoring has been difficult for all other batters. He had an extra responsibility on his shoulders in the absence of Steve Smith, and with Australia under immense pressure right from Day 1, the left-handed batter has surely done a commendable job.
