Vaibhav Suryavanshi grabbed the limelight in IPL 2025 with a blistering century from 35 balls. He followed it up with a couple of more impactful knocks and has caught the imagination of cricket fans because of his power-hitting at the age of just 14.

Now, he is playing for India U19 against England U19 and has started off the five-match ODI series on a bright note. He walked out to open the batting alongside his captain Ayush Mhatre in the run chase of 175 and started blasting England bowlers all over the park.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed his first six in the fourth over against Alex French. However, it was the sixth over of the innings when he unleashed his full might against Jack Home. The 14-year-old hammered the bowler for three sixes in a single over and then followed it up with a six and a four in the next over as well.

Overall, the batter hit five sixes and three fours in his knock and scored 42 of his 48 runs in boundaries. The batter looked set for a fifty as well, but Raphie Albert managed to get the better of him in the 8th over to end the onslaught.

Vaibhav Takes India To A Strong Position

Nevertheless, he took India U19 off to a rollicking start in a small run-chase. The partnership for the opening wicket was 71, and 48 of those came off the blade of Bihar kid, as Ayush Mhatre, another talented youngster, played second fiddle.

Soon after the wicket of Vaibhav, Alex French joined the party and picked two wickets, which included a big one of Ayush Mhatre. However, India are still in a solid position and have no scoreboard pressure to deal with, thanks to a quickfire knock at the top of the order from Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
