Khaleel Ahmed has carried his good domestic form in England and has delivered a fiery spell to bring India A back in the second unofficial Test against the Lions. The left-arm pacer picked four wickets in as many overs as the England Lions lost their way from a strong position.
Khaleel Ahmed Makes The Ball Talk For India A
The tall pacer tried to rattle batters with short-pitch stuff when the partnerships were brewing up but also hit the good-length areas and full-length when necessary to keep the batters guessing. He started off with a wicket of Jordan Cox in the 51st over and then got the better of James Rew and George Hill on consecutive deliveries in the 55th over.
The pacer then used the left-hander's angle to great effect against Chris Woakes, reducing England Lions to 229 for seven in no time. The wickets of Cox and James Rew were also off the deliveries that were angled away from the batters while George Gill was removed through a brilliant yorker.

Khaleel's spell was a much-needed one for India A as the England Lions were looking comfortable and had a great chance to take the lead at the end of the first innings. However, they are now in danger of handing a healthy lead to India A who have 348 on the board.
Apart from Khaleel Ahmed, Tushar Deshpande has picked two wickets for India A while Tanush Kotian and Anshul Kamboj have bagged one each. Also, the left-arm pacer's form is a good sign for India ahead of the Test series against England. He can provide variety with his angle and can be added to the main squad in case of an injury.
