The right-arm speedster has now opened up about the struggles in last two years during an exclusive chat with Cricbuzz and has expressed confidence of resuming his career on a bright note.

Ebadot Hossain confessed that the recovery process was quite tough and he had five surgeries on different spots in his knee. He added that it was a long process to get back to full fitness and he does not want to remember the gruesome process. He expressed satisfaction that he could overcome all the steps and added that it was tough to stay away from cricket for two long years.

"To be honest it was quite challenging. I had surgeries on five different spots of my knee. Usually, a fast bowler suffers from a meniscus or ACL injury, but I needed five surgeries in my knee. The recovery process was long and difficult. I don't want to remember the tiresome rehab days. Alhamdulillah, I have overcome those steps, though the experience was not enjoyable at all. It is tough to stay out of cricket for two long years. Alhamdulillah, I have come back."

The Bangladeshi star also stated that he has a goal to start from where his career paused in 2023 and want everyone to support him.

"To be honest, my career has been paused since 2023. I had a goal to start from where I paused. I want to restart my career. I want everyone's blessings."

Ebadot Hossain has played 20 Tests so far and has picked 42 wickets which includes a match-winning performance in a historic Test win against New Zealand. He also has good ODI record with 22 wickets in 12 matches and would add more depth in the strong Bangladeshi pace attack for the tour of Sri Lanka.
