Swashbuckling West Indies all-rounder Romario Shepherd unleashed his beast mode in Guyana Amazon Warriors' recent match against St Lucia Kings in the CPL 2025. Shepherd hammered renowned fast bowler Oshane Thomas for three huge sixes in an over, helping his side collect 22 runs off just one ball in bizarre circumstances.
Romario Goes Berserk As Amazon Warriors Score 22 Runs Off 1 Delivery
The incident occurred during the 15th over of the Warriors' innings when Romario Shepherd was batting alongside Iftikhar Ahmed. The Kings' captain, David Wiese, decided to bring Thomas for the 15th over, but it backfired on his side, as Shepherd smacked him for three huge sixes, collecting a truckload of runs.
After conceding a boundary off his second delivery, Oshane Thomas erred in his line and length, giving away two consecutive extras in the form of a no-ball and a wide ball. His two subsequent deliveries were no-balls, which Shepherd dispatched into the stands for maximums. Although the right-arm pacer followed it up with a legal delivery, the in-form Shepherd cleared his front leg and hit him out of the park.
Thus, a string of extras and three monstrous hits from Shepherd helped Guyana Amazon Warriors collect 22 runs off just one ball in the over. Shepherd, who plays for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL, remained unbeaten on 73 runs, powering the Warriors to 202 runs in 20 overs.

Despite Romario Shepherd's carnage and an impactful spell from Gudakesh Motie, Guyana Amazon Warriors suffered a four-wicket defeat in the 13th league-stage match against St Lucia Kings. Ackeem Auguste played a pivotal role for the Kings, scoring 73 runs off just 35 balls. They are currently placed second in the points table and will take on St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in their next match.
