It was another high-octane game here in Lucknow where the Super Giants batted first and posted 205 on the board. The excellent opening partnership between Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram, with 115 runs, helped the Super Giants get off to a brilliant start as Marsh scored 65 and Markram 61. Later, Nicholas Pooran provided some finish in the final overs with a brilliant 45, while the rest of the batting order faltered, with no one scoring in double digits. From the bowling line-up, Eshan Malinga was terrific with figures of 2 for 28 in his four overs, as he picked crucial wickets of Rishabh Pant and Ayush Badoni.
On the other hand, the Sunrisers Hyderabad lost early wickets, but the duo of Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan batted brilliantly to help them score 99 inside eight overs. Kishan departed for 35, while Abhishek activated berserk mode and scored a high-flying 59 off just 20 deliveries. Following this, Hienrich Klaasen and Kamindu Mendis batted exceedingly well, taking Sunrisers closer to victory. Klaasen was dismissed by Thakur on 47, while Mendis, on the very next delivery, got injured and had to walk back, with Sunrisers requiring just nine for victory. In the end, they finished the game comfortably with 10 deliveries spare, chasing the score of 206 with six wickets in hand.
