However, Washington Sundar’s unclear role and lack of scoring remain concerns, as India look for an extra 25–30 runs from the lower order. In bowling, dew has troubled the attack in both matches, and KL Rahul will be desperate to break his streak of 21 consecutive ODI toss losses with the trophy on the line.

South Africa face similar issues, with their bowlers leaking runs throughout the series. Nandre Burger’s injury adds to Temba Bavuma’s worries, given the pacer’s strong performances so far. The Proteas batting, however, has been consistent across both games.
