A one-sided match no one expected to unfold. India posted 175 runs on the board courtesy to Hardik Pandya's blazing 59* off 28 balls and notable contributions from Tilak Varma (26) and Axar Patel (23).
However, South Africa threw down their weapons completely in the chase. Arshdeep Singh set the tone in the powerplay with 2 wickets in his opening spell. The spinners, Varun and Axar, then triggered a mini-collapse. Dewald Brevis showed some fight with 22 off 14 balls.
But the Proteas displayed some poor shot selection with bad timing. Jasprit Bumrah kept on bowling short and picked two wickets in an over. Axar Patel and Shivam Dube wrapped things up and bowled out South Africa for just 74 runs as India sealed a commanding 101-run victory.
Before the dew factor could even kick in, South Africa got packed!!!
