NED vs SL, 19th Match - Toss Factor

It will be a day game and will start at 10:30 in the morning. As mentioned above, the 22-yard in Lucknow is changed from the IPL and now has life in it.  Captain winning the toss may look for either option but if Sri Lanka wins it then they would look to bat first to avoid Netherlands to cause another upset.

Scenario: If Netherlands Fields First

All-rounder Bas de Leede and captain Scott Edwards will play an important role if the Dutch are facing a significant and competitive target.  The latter is fresh from his match-winning half-century (78* off 69) against South Africa in the last game. Both players will be crucial if the Dutch are looking for second successive victory.

Scenario: If Sri Lanka Fields First

The 1996 champions Sri Lanka also have some in-form batters in their line-up. Opener Pathum Nissanka, skipper Kusal Mendis and middle-order player Charith Asalanka will be key for the Lions if they are presented with a stiff target in front of them. The trio will look to guide their side to their maiden victory of the ongoing campaign.

NED vs SL, 19th Match - Top Captain and Vice-captain choices

Scenario: If Sri Lanka Fields First

Kusal Mendis (SL)

Regular skipper Dasun Shanaka has been ruled out of the WC due to injury as the man in form Kusal Mendis is now handling the captaincy duties. The no. three right-handed batter played blitz knocks of 76 and 122 against South Africa and Pakistan respectively in the opening two games. After getting a single-digit last time out, Mendis will look to lead his side from the front by playing a valuable knock that helps his side register first win of this WC.

Pathum Nissanka (SL)

Opener Pathum Nissanka has an average of 38 with three hundred and 11 half-centuries in the ODI format. After bagging a duck against the Proteas in the opening game, Nissanka bounced back in style to smash two consecutive half-centuries (51 and 61) in the next two. The right-hander will look to carry on his form against the  Dutch.

Scenario: If Netherlands Fields First

Bas de Leede (NED)

Skillful all-rounder Bas de Leede is a vital cog in the Dutch's setup. The middle-order player has one century and three half-centuries to his name to go with 31 wickets in the format. de Leede delivered a solid-all round performance by scoring 67 and picking up four wickets against Pakistan in his team's opening match. He is the leading wicket-taker so far for the Dutch and will look to perform again in this contest.

Scott Edwards (NED)

Experienced campaigner Scott Edwards has struck the second-most runs for his side after Ryan ten Doeschate in ODIs. The right-hander averages 41.25 with 14 half-centuries to his name. Edwards won the Player of the Match award against the Africans in the last game for his solid knock of 78*.

NED vs SL, 19th Match - Big Risk, Big Return Choices

Vikramjit Singh (NED)

Left-handed opening player Vikramjit Singh begun the competition with a half-century (52) against Pakistan. The 20-year old youngster then bagged two low scores of 12 and 2 against New Zealand and South Africa respectively in the next two outings. He is a risky but could be a worthy pick for this fixture.

Kusal Perera (SL)

Kusal Perera started off the campaign in a poor manner after managing scores of 7 and 0 in the first two matches. The left-handed opening batter then returned to his best as he smashed 78 against a quality Australian bowling attack. The southpaw may continue from where he left off in the upcoming game against the Dutch.
