PR vs SUNE, Match 27 - Toss Factor

The Boland Park, Paarl is one of the most difficult venues for the batters to score runs. The pitch tends to be on the slower side and the spinners get good assist. The pacers also get early movement with the new ball and the slower one's can be very handy on this surface,

Scenario: If Sunrisers Eastern Cape field first

The Aiden Markram-led unit have a well-poised attack with both bat and ball. The likes of Adam Rossington, Tom Abell,  Tristan Stubbs and Jordan Hermann form a great batting unit revolving around their splendid captain. Daniel Worrall and Ottneil Baartman have been collective with the ball in hand along with all-round skills of Marco Jansen.

Scenario: If Paarl Royals field first

The presence of Bjorn Fortuin and Tabraiz Shamsi can be of great utility on these conditions and they have backed the pacers to a good extent. With  the bat, they have a dominant top-order with Jos Buttler, Jason Roy and David Miller forming an explosive trio.

Scenario: If Sunrisers Eastern Cape field first

Tristan Stubbs (SUNE): The wicketkeeper-batter has been excellent behind the stumps and is also the leading run-scorer for his side in the tourney. Stubbs has gathered 190 runs from five innings and has an average of 63.33. He has the ability to read conditions and adapt accordingly.

Bjorn Fortuin (PR): The left-arm spinner may not be in the list of most wickets in the competition but fared well on this venue. He claimed a three-fer against MICT and toppled their destructive top-order in quick time. Fortuin has been economical and has been very good during the powerplay.

Scenario: If Paarl Royals field first

Lungi Ngidi (PR): The right-arm pacer has been quintessential with the ball for his side and is their leading wicket-taker with 14 scalps from eight matches. The fast bowler gets enough movement to bring the edges of the bat into play. He bagged a four-for against Pretoria Capitals and a three-fer against Joburg Super Kings in the initial period of the mega-event.

Marco Jansen (SUNE): The all-rounder is a great asset for the Eastern Capes with the new kookaburra. Jansen has scalped nine wickets from seven innings so far. He gets the extra bounce off the surface and tends  to trouble the opposition batters. Jansen has also improved with the willow and can play important knocks lower down the order.

PR vs SUNE, Match 27 - High Risk, High Rewards

Aiden Markram (SUNE): The captain of South Africa in the white ball format is one of the best all-rounders in current times. Markram played some impressive knocks with the golden dagger in the bonanza event and will look to apply his bowling skills on this spinners paradise.

Jos Buttler (PR): The English white ball captain found his mojo back after a horrid World Cup season and accumulated 296 runs from eight innings. Although Buttler is the leading run-scorer for the side, he is blowing hot and cold as per his last few innings.
