ISL vs LAH - Toss Factor

The captain winning the toss will be opting to field first at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi. With weather also around, fielding first looks a more logical decision and captain from either side will look to do the same.

Scenario: If Islamabad United wins the toss

If Shadab Khan wins the toss, he would like to field first at this venue. Also with weather around, bowling first is a better and safer option. The leg spinner is also the leading wicket-taker for his side so far. He has picked up nine wickets while pace bowler Naseem Shah has eight scalps to his name. Chasing down the target will depend on the in-form Agha Salman, Shadab himself and Colin Munro.

Scenario: If Lahore Qalandars wins the toss

Shaheen Afridi, the skipper of Lahore Qalandars, will also be looking to bowl first. He is leading the bowling chart for his side with nine wickets in six innings. Seamer Zaman Khan is behind him with six scalps. The duo would hope to restrict United to a low total. Sahibzada Farhan and Rassie van der Dussen are the leading run-getters for the Qalandars and a lot will again depend on the duo in a big run-chase.

Scenario: If Islamabad United bats first

Agha Salman will be a key choice for the match (Source: x.com)Agha Salman will be a key choice for the match (Source: x.com)

Agha Salman - Agha Salman is the leading run-getter for United this season. The right-handed top-order player has struck 225 runs in six innings at an average of 56.25 with two half-centuries. United will again rely on him to guide them over a victory against strugglers Qalandars.

Shadab Khan - Captain Shadab Khan has amassed 183 runs in six innings at an average of 46 with two fifties. As mentioned above, he has picked up the most wickets (nine) for his team so far. Shadab won the Player of the Match award against Peshawar Zalmi last time out for his all-round brilliance of 80 off 51 and 3/41 (4).

Scenario: If Lahore Qalandars bats first

Rassie van der Dussen - Rassie van der Dussen is having a solid tournament as he is the leading run-scorer for the Qalandars. The right-handed South African has smashed 300 runs and is averaging 75 which includes one century and two half-centuries. He is a must and an ideal pick for this category.

Sahibzada Farhan - Sahibzada Farhan has racked up the second-most runs after van der Dussen for the Qalandars. The opening batter has mustered 239 runs at an average of 48 with three half-centuries under his belt. He along with Rassie is the in-form batter in this line-up.

ISL vs LAH - High Risk, High Reward

Colin Munro (ISL) - New Zealander Colin Munro has hit the second-most runs after Salman for United. The left-handed opening player has amassed 201 runs at an average of 33.5 with two fifties. The 36-year old experienced campaigner is a risky but worthy pick also considering his position in the line-up.

Fakhar Zaman could be game-changing choice for the game (Source: x.com)Fakhar Zaman could be game-changing choice for the game (Source: x.com)

Fakhar Zaman (LAH) - Destructive opening batter Fakhar Zaman is due for a significant knock under his belt this season. The left-hander has scored just below 100 runs and is averaging only 16. He got start in the last game with score of 23 off 16 against Multan Sultans. Zaman is a risky but safe choice for this contest.

ISL vs LAH - Stay Aways

Alex Hales (ISL) - Veteran Alex Hales has managed to score only 106 runs in five innings thus far. The right-handed opening batter is averaging 21.2 with the highest score of 47. The 35-year old hasnt looked in the best of form and could well be avoided for this fixture.

Sikandar Raza (LAH) - Zimbabwean Sikandar Raza has also been poor so far for the Qalandars. He has managed to amass only 59 runs in five innings at an average of a mere 11.8. Raza also has picked up just two wickets in four innings in PSL 9. He could well be given a miss here.
