ISL vs PES - Toss Factor

The captain winning the toss will be looking to field first in Rawalpindi. The ground has favored the chasing sides more in this format. The skipper from either side will not hesitate to a bowl first in this fixture.

Scenario: If Islamabad United win the toss

If Islamabad United wins the toss, they would opt to field first. Chasing teams have better record than sides batting first in T20s at this venue. The duo of Shadab Khan and Naseem Shah will be key for United as they both look to pick up wickets and restrict the Zalmi to a low total.

Agha Salman and Colin Munro will shoulder the responsiblity of doing the bulk of the run scoring for United. They both are the  leading run-scorers so far for their side and will look to continue doing their job.

Scenario: If Peshawar Zalmi win the toss

Like United, even Zalmi will be looking to bowl first in Rawalpindi. Arif Yaqoob picked up a five-wicket haul against the same United side last Monday. He along with pace bowlers Luke Wood and Salman Irshad will be leading the bowling attack for the Zalmi. Peshawar skipper Babar Azam won the Player of the Match award against Islamabad for his sensational century (111* off just 63). Babar and his opening partner Saim Ayub are key in the batting department for the Zalmi.

Colin Munro - Colin Munro has struck the second-most runs for United thus far. The left-handed New Zealander has 186 runs to his name at an average of 37.2 with two half-centuries. Munro also opens the batting so it makes him a perfect pick for this category.

Agha Salman - Agha Salman is leading the batting chart for United in PSL 9. The right-handed middle-order player has hit 188 runs and is averaging 63 which also includes two half-centuries. Salman is a key batter for United in the middle-order and considering his form, he is a must pick.

Scenario: If Peshawar Zalmi bats first

Babar Azam - Captain Babar Azam is having another solid PSL season. The classy right-handed opening batter is the leading run-getter of the ongoing competition so far. Babar has slammed 330 runs at a staggering average of 83. The 29-year old has hit one hundred and two fiftes as well. As mentioned above, Babar's ton came against United last time out.

Saim Ayub - Saim Ayub is considered as the next big thing in Pakistan cricket. The 21-year old youngster has scored the second-most runs after his skipper Babar for the Zalmi. The left-handed opener has amassed 175 runs at an average of 35 with one half-century under his belt. Ayub struck a quickfire 38 off 21 with three fours and two maximums against United.

ISL vs PES - High Risk, High Reward

Shadab Khan (ISL) - Skipper Shadab Khan came higher up the order as he batted at no. three against the Zalmi. The right-handed player has racked up 103 runs in five innings at an average of 34.33 with one half-century to his name. The spinner has also snared six scalps in five innings. He is the leader of the side as Shadab is a good pick for this category.

Rovman Powell (PES) - Destructive West Indian Rovman Powell has mustered 133 runs in five innings at an average of 27. The right-handed middle-order player has got starts in almost all games with scores of 17, 39, 23, 46, and 8. Powell is a risky but worthy choice for this contest against United.

ISL vs PES - Stay Aways

Jordan Cox (ISL) - Jordan Cox has managed to score just 73 runs in three innings thus far. The right-handed opening batter did score 41 in his first game but then has managed two low scores of 19 and 13. The 23-year old opener could well be given a miss against the Zalmi.

Mohammad Haris (PES) - Mohammad Haris has just not been able to perform so far in PSL 9. The talented right-handed player has failed to make a mark in the ongoing campaign. Haris has managed only 46 runs in five innings at a poor average of 11.5 He has scores of 7, 6, 19, 12* and 2 to his name. Haris should be avoided considering his bad form.
