The United States of America (USA) is all set to host the inaugural edition of the Major League Cricket (MLC). Texas Super Kings (TSK) lock horns with Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR) in the opening match of this exciting tournament. The encounter is scheduled to take place on Friday, July 14th, 2023, at 6.00 AM IST at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas. 

However, before the game goes live, here is a look at some of the important player stats, the prime player picks, and the best-suggested XIs for the fantasy contests of this opening fixture.

The competition will be staged across 19 days from July 13th to 31st, 2023, at two venues in Dallas and Church Street Park in Morrisville. There will be 15 group-stage matches followed by an eliminator, two qualifiers, and the grand final.

The six teams in action are TSK, LAKR, Seattle Orcas, Washington Freedom, MI New York, and San Francisco Unicorns. Four of the six sides feature owners from the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises which includes MI New York (Mumbai Indians) and TSK (Chennai Super Kings). The other two with IPL connections are LSKR (Kolkata Knight Riders) and the Orcas (Delhi Capitals).

The competition begins with a round-robin format, with the top four sides advancing to the Playoffs. The format is similar to the IPL, but the teams will face each other only once in the league phase.
