IND vs ENG - Toss Factor

The Ranchi wicket at the JSCA International Stadium will favour the batters, especially in the first two days. Two games have been played here before this, and the team batting first has won one while the other has ended in a draw. The fact that the pitch will deteriorate in the last couple of days will be there in the minds of the two skippers. The captain winning the toss will look to bat first.

Scenario: If India win the toss

If India wins the toss, Rohit Sharma will look to bat first. In this case, the top-order batters of the team, like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, become critical picks.

But the pitch improves and favours the batters as the game on the first day progresses. Hence, one can also take a risk and choose middle-order batters like Dhruv Jurel and Sarfaraz Khan as the captain or vice-captain of the match.

For bowlers, Ravindra Jadeja will be an essential pick. He has picked up wickets at Ranchi and contributed with the bat in the series.

Scenario: If England win the toss

Ben Stokes will also look to bat first on winning the toss. Ben Duckett has been in fine form and batted brilliantly in the last match. He likes to bat without the scoreboard pressure on him, and if England bat first, Duckett will be a prime choice for the game.

Joe Root has not been in the best form with the bat in the series. But he is due for a big one, and as a spinner, he is expected to keep a contribution in the later half of the match. Root could be a differential choice as the captain or vice-captain of the game.

James Anderson is a must-pick among the bowlers because of his ability to get reverse swing. Mark Wood would be an interesting choice as he might trouble the Indian batters with his pace in the second innings. Tom Hartley has picked up the highest wicket in the series for England, and you can not ignore him for the match.

IND vs ENG- Top Captain and Vice Captain Picks

Scenario: If India Bat First

Rohit Sharma - The Indian skipper has found back his form in the last match. Rohit Sharma has a good record at the JSCA International Stadium and hence will be a good choice as the captain or vice-captain of the match.

Yashasvi Jaiswal - The Indian opener has been destroying the English bowling throughout the series. Yashasvi Jaiswal will be an obvious choice as the captain or vice-captain of the match.

Ravindra Jadeja - The Indian all-rounder has been in brilliant form with both his trades. Jadeja has a great bowling record at Ranchi and hence he will be a prime choice as the C/VC for the match.

Scenario: If England Bat First

Ben Duckett - The English opener looked in great touch in the last Test. Duckett enjoys batting first and in this case, he will be a good choice as the captain or vice-captain of the match.

James Anderson - The English veteran has been in good form in the first two matches of the series. As the game progresses, the Ranchi pitch will assist the bowler who can extract reverse swing. Therefore, Anderson will become an important choice.

IND vs ENG- High Risk, High Reward

Shubman Gill (IND) - The young Indian batter will be a risky choice as the captain or vice-captain of the match. Shubman Gill will look to most of his form that he has gained in the last two matches. If he comes to bat after the first hour on first day, then there are chances that Gill will score big in the match.

Joe Root (ENG) - The English star has not been in prime form with the bat in the series. However, Root has done a lot of efficient bowling for the visitors. It is time for Root to go big and keeping his bowling skills in mind, he might be a risk worth taking in the fantasy contests of the match.

IND vs ENG Stay Aways

Ben Stokes (ENG) - The English skipper has not been in any kind of form in the series. Ben Stokes has led the team nicely, but that will not give points in the fantasy contests. So, keeping his current form in mind, it is better to stay away from Stokes.

Rajat Patidar (IND) - The talented young batter has got starts but has failed to convert them. Patidar's current form makes him a very risky choice for the game.
