The numbers suggest that the pitch at Adelaide Oval is bat first track. In general the wicket here has a bit of subcontinent nature to it. So, the spinners and bowlers who are good with their variations will be good picks for the match.

Three Must Picks for the match

Henry Thornton (Strikers): The Strikers pace bowler has hit great from in the tournament. He has 9 wickets under his belt in just two matches. Although the Adelaide wicket is a bit different from his style of bowling, his form makes him a very important pick for the match.

Chris Lynn (Strikers): The Australian batter who was known for his power hitting has somewhat changed his batting approach this BBL season. He has looked much more calm and stable. With the aim of being much more consistent, Lynn is a good choice for some sure points.

Daniel Sams (Thunder): The left arm seam bowler has 7 wickets to his name in 3 matches. Also the fact that he has a very good slower in his repertoire makes him an important pick for the Adelaide pitch.

Worth the risk picks

Matthew Short (Strikers): Matthew Short played a blinder in the very first match for the Strikers. But in the very next match he failed to continue his momentum. So, with a player like Short it is difficult to ensure guaranteed points but the day he fires, you will not like rue about your decision of leaving him out.

Rilee Rossouw (Thunder): The South African middle order batter had a really bad start to the tournament as he scored just 3 runs in the first two matches. But in the last match he gained some form with a half-century. On the other hand, the presence of left arm pacers in the opposition and his weakness against them puts his continuing the momentum in doubt. So, a pick which might give big returns on its day.
