'Thankfully we have a game on Sunday'- Trevor Bayliss' interesting statement after Saturday horror

On Friday, Sydney Thunder put up a shambolic batting performance against the Adelaide Strikers

Chasing 140, the Thunder fell like a pack of cards and were bundled out for a mere 15, recording the lowest-ever team total in Men's T20s.

The Thunder don't have enough time to get over the horrendous defeat, as they are set to take on the Renegades on Sunday.

However, their head coach Trevor Bayliss expects the packed schedule to benefit the team by allowing the players to rectify their blunders and regain confidence by winning the fixture.

Here's what Bayliss said

"Thankfully we have a game on Sunday, so that means our players won’t sit around and think about what happened - they can right the wrong,

"It’s got to make them more determined. You need to go into the next game determined to right the wrong. If we go into the next game thinking about what happened out there it’s going to take longer to get out of it."

Batting has emerged as a headache for the Thunder think tank. They were on the brink of a defeat but huffed and puffed to victory in the tournament opener against Melbourne Stars, courtesy of a priceless cameo from Gurinder Sandhu.

So, they must regroup and evolve their batting in order to bounce back in the showpiece event.
