Clarke's century propels Stars to a strong total

Invited to bat first, the Stars were off to a quick start with their opening pair, Joe Clarke and Thomas Rogers. The duo added 54 runs in less than six overs before Rogers (20) perished to Shadab Khan.

Afterwards, Beau Webster provided good support with a knock of 24 to continue the team's momentum. It was the 57-run stand between Cartwright (17) and Clarke which paved way for Stars to post 183 on the board.

Clarke remained unbeaten on 101 off 66, with nine fours and four maximums. Riley Meredith was the pick of the bowlers for Hurricanes with two scalps.
