The Mumbai Indians will be facing the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 13th match of IPL 2025. The five-time IPL champions have played two matches in the tournament and are yet to register their first win.

As the Hardik Pandya-led side get ready to face one of their arch-rivals, the eyes are on Rohit Sharma. The Indian ODI and Test captain has a great record against the Kolkata Knight Riders and the fantasy users are all set to pick him and select him the captain or vice-captain for the fantasy teams. 

However, here are three reasons why you should not pick Rohit Sharma in your fantasy teams - 

3. Presence Of Spencer Johnson

Rohit Sharma will be seen opening for the Mumbai Indians in the game. It is a given that the Indian legend struggles against left-arm pacers. In fact, in the first match of IPL 2025, Khaleel Ahmed picked up the wicket of Rohit. Kolkata Knight Riders have an express left-arm pacer, Spencer Johnson in their team whom they can use to get the wicket of Rohit Sharma. 

2. Sunil Narine and Varun Chakaravarthy's Dominance Over Rohit Sharma

Even if Rohit Sharma survives the initial burst of Spencer Johnson, the KKR spin twin will be there as his nemesis. Sunil Narine has bowled 134 deliveries to Rohit in IPL and has conceded 141 runs in them while dismissing him eight times. Varun Chakaravarthy has contained Rohit even if not picked up his wicket often. In 45 deliveries, the mystery spinner has conceded 47 runs and has picked up his wicket once. So, there is little chance that Rohit Sharma will give you fantasy points that can make a difference in the fantasy contests of the match.

Rohit Sharma has played 10 matches against KKR at Wankhede. In this matches he has scored 225 runs at an average of 28.13 at a strike rate of 121.62. He has done well against KKR but that is at Eden Gardens, where he averages over 50 against them. At Wankhede, Rohit's numbers are pretty ordinary and it is a big indication that he should be kept out of your fantasy teams.
