Yuzvendra Chahal took part in India’s 2024 T20 World Cup celebration along with the rest of his teammates at the Wankhede Stadium on July 4. The cricketer was part of a victorious Indian group that defeated South Africa in a hard-fought final at Barbados back on June 29 to lifted the coveted T20 world title.
Upon returning home, Yuzvendra Chahal has now credited his wife Dhanashree Verma for bringing Team India the desired ‘lady luck’ for winning the tournament.

Yuzvendra Chahal took to X (formerly Twitter) on July 6 and shared a picture of himself alongside his wife Dhanashree Chahal. The cricketer can also be seen holding the 2024 T20 World Cup winning medal.
In the caption, Yuzvendra wrote: “Lady Luck”.
While Yuzvendra Chahal was part of India’s 2024 T20 World Cup winning squad in the West Indies and USA back in June, the leg-spinner did not receive a single crack in the playing XI throughout the tournament.
Moreover, Chahal’s last international appearance for Team India occurred back in August 2023 through a T20I affair against West Indies at Lauderhill.
A veteran of 72 ODIs and 80 T20I matches, the 34-year-old has so far scalped 217 international wickets across both formats combined.
Quite recently, he represented the Rajasthan Royals franchise in this year’s IPL 2024 season.
As of now, it remains to be seen when Yuzvendra Chahal will receive another call-up to the Indian squad for a limited-overs assignment.
