Bollywood actor Athiya Shetty posted a heartfelt Father's Day post on June 15, 2025, speaking out about the love and admiration for the special man in her life, which is her husband, KL Rahul. The cricketer had welcomed his first child, a girl, with Athiya this year.

Rahul, one of India’s most technically sound batters, is currently touring India for a 5-game Test series against England. As a senior batter, he will shoulder the responsibility of filling the shoes of retired veterans Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Athiya Shetty Celebrates Father’s Day With KL Rahul From A Distance

This Father's Day was special as it marked KL Rahul’s first since becoming a dad. The cricketer and Athiya welcomed their daughter, Evaarah, on March 24 this year. 

However, KL Rahul is currently away in England with Team India for the upcoming Test series and couldn’t be with his family on this special occasion. Athiya posted heartfelt messages on Instagram.

She uploaded a photo of Rahul cradling their daughter, saying how much she and baby Evaarah missed him on his first Father's Day.

Rahul And Athiya Unveil Meaning Of Their Daughter’s Name

On April 18, 2025, KL Rahul and his wife, Athiya Shetty, officially announced the name of their newborn daughter, Evaarah Vipula Rahul. 

Athiya unveiled the significance of the unique and lovely name. She said that "Evaarah" is of Sanskrit origin and it signifies "Gift of God." The name signifies the deep gratitude and happiness of the couple in becoming parents.

The baby’s middle name, “Vipula,” holds emotional value as it is a tribute to Athiya’s maternal grandmother (nani), someone very close to her heart. The last part of the name, “Rahul,” is, of course, a nod to her father, KL Rahul.
