Virat Kohli pumped out his 49th ODI century to consign South Africa to a huge defeat in India’s latest World Cup 2023 outing. The innings also marked his second ton and sixth fifty-plus score overall of the tournament, as he continues to extend his golden touch with the bat this year.

The Indian batting veteran has minted 543 runs across eight World Cup 2023 innings so far, and is currently only placed second behind South Africa’s Quinton de Kock among the leading run-scorers. Having emerged as one of the pillars behind India’s unbeaten run in their crusade, Kohli was recently stumped by a bizarre internet slang, first coined within K-pop fanbase back in 2014.

Virat Kohli stumped by K-pop slang

During an interaction on Star Sports, the official broadcasters of the 2023 World Cup, Virat Kohli was asked by the host to pronounce the sentence “My delulu is the only solulu.”

While Kohli acknowledged the host’s request, he could not believe that the words “delulu” and “solulu” do exists. The 35-year-old laughingly reacted:

“Aise kaun baat karta hai?” (Who talks like that?)

As one can expect, “delulu” is a slang for delusion while “solulu” is a slang for solution.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is now gearing up to face Netherlands in India’s upcoming World Cup 2023 dead-rubber. The match, also marking the final league fixture for both sides before the imminent knockouts, will be played on November 12 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma along with the rest of their Indian teammates will subsequently travel to either Kolkata or Mumbai for the World Cup 2023 semi-finals. Set to finish the league stage at the top of the points table, the ‘Men in Blue’ will be aiming to one-up their efforts from the 2015 and 2019 editions, where they failed to book their place in the finals.
