As the start of the upcoming Cricket World Cup 2023 nears, the excitement and hype around the tournament is also building up, with the International Cricket Council (ICC) blitzing out its promotional material on social media feeds.

A day after the now-viral clip of South African players attempting to pronounce Thiruvananthapuram, they have released a new video featuring New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson.

The out-and-out fast bowler in the video could be seen trying to spell out the famous 'Teen Guna Lagan' dialogue from the hit cricket-based Bollywood movie "Lagaan".

ICC shared the hilarious video on Instagram captioned, "Lockie Ferguson, The movie Lagaan", to which the Kiwi speedster replied, "Still fixing my hair".

The 'Teen Guna Lagaan' dialogue roughly translates to 'Three Time Landtax', was said by antagonist captain Andrew Russell, to main character Bhuvan Latha in act one of the 2001 sport-drama movie, that was also nominated for Best Foreign Language Film' at the Oscars.

The 32-year-old is expected to be in action against South Africa in today's warm-up match at Greenfield International Stadium.

The Kane Williamson-led side will kick off their World Cup 2023 campaign in the repeat of the ICC CWC 2019 Final, taking on defending champions England at Ahmedabad on October 5.
