Pakistan fast bowling sensation Naseem Shah has moved to Islamabad United in a player’s trade after ending his four-year association with the Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed and fast bowler Mohammad Wasim Jr have been swapped to Quetta Gladiators in exchange for Naseem Shah, as part of the pre-draft player exchange for the 2024 PSL season.
Before the official confirmation of the trade between Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United, both Naseem Shah and Shadab Khan, the captain of Islamabad United, subtly hinted at the upcoming trade on their official social media platforms.
One day before the trade, Shadab Khan shared a photo on Twitter with the caption 'Intezaar,' and in response, Naseem Shah quoted the tweet, asking, 'Kiska hai ye tumko intezaar,' just hours before the trade.
Adding a touch of humour, Shadab Khan shared a delightful video featuring himself and Naseem Shah to confirm the trade. In the clip, Naseem Shah can be seen styling Shadab Khan's hair while he was talking, accompanied by the iconic Shah Rukh Khan song "Kiska hai Tumko Intezaar mai hoon na."

Just a few hours after Shadab Khan posted the video on Twitter, the Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed the trade between Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United.
Earlier, PSL 5 winning captain Imad Wasim also joined Islamabad United ahead of the ninth edition of the tournament.
