Ravindra Jadeja dismantled Punjab Kings batting line-up with an imperial three-wicket haul in match number 53 of the IPL 2024 season. The legendary left-arm spinner picked up the key wickets of Prabhsimran Singh, Sam Curran and Ashuthosh Sharma to finish with match-winning figures of 3-20.

Jadeja also top-scored for CSK with the bat by accounting for 43 out of his team’s 167-run total upfront. Fittingly adjudged as ‘Player of the Match’ for his all-round efforts, the legendary Indian cricketer surpassed CSK veteran MS Dhoni for a huge IPL record.

Ravindra Jadeja, who made his CSK debut during the 2012 edition of the IPL, claimed his 16th ‘Player of the Match’ award for the franchise through his match-winning performance against Punjab Kings. In doing so, the legendary all-rounder surpassed teammate MS Dhoni’s tally of 15 to win the most ‘Player of the Match’ awards in the history of CSK.

Ravindra Jadeja’s all-round juggernaut helped CSK defeat Punjab Kings by 28 runs at Dharamshala. The outcome also marked CSK’s sixth win of the IPL 2024 season, as they jumped back to the playoffs reckoning.

Jadeja and the rest of his CSK teammates will now face Gujarat Titans in match number 59 of the tournament on May 10. The much-awaited contest will be staged by the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
