Haryanvi Hunters captain Elvish Yadav recorded yet another batting failure for his team in the ongoing ECL 2024 season. Just a couple of days after scoring just six runs against Bangalore Bashers, the social media giant was dismissed for a two-ball duck against Mumbai Disruptors in the seventh match of the competition.

Regardless of Elvish Yadav’s early setback, his team Haryanvi Hunters romped home to victory with four wickets and eight balls to spare at the IG Indoor Stadium in Delhi.

Elvish Yadav continues to struggle in ECL 2024

Opening the innings for Haryanvi Hunters in their chase of 155 against Mumbai Disruptors, captain Elvish Yadav was dismissed for a two-ball duck. In a bid to slog Mumbai Disruptors fast bowler Karan Khandelwal over his leg side for some early intent, Yadav merely managed to drag the ball on to his stumps to make an early walk back to the sheds.

The innings marked his second successive batting failure this ECL 2024 season as the right-handed batter was also dismissed for just six runs against Bangalore Bashers in the opening match of the tournament on Friday, September 13.

Earlier in the match, Mumbai Disruptors batted first and mounted 154-9 from their 10 overs. Opening batter Aditya Singh Bhadoria top-scored in the innings by smacking 46 runs from just 12 deliveries with a boundary and seven sixes to his name. Unbeaten Arham Abbasi at number 11 launched four maximums in his five-ball cameo of 26* in the slog overs. Among the Haryanvi Hunters bowlers, Keshav Chaudhary unfurled the spell of the innings by claiming figures of 4-26.

In the run-chase, Anujj Chaudhary steadied Haryanvi Hunters response after the opening exit of captain Elvish Yadav. Anujj flogged 36 off nine balls with six sweltering sixes, while unbeaten Moksh Murgai hammered 43* from 14. Wicketkeeper-batter Ribbhuu Mehra also chipped in with 29* off eight to notch up the winning runs for the Hunters alongside Murgai.
