Indian young cricketers Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill, both key members of India's squad in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023, have certainly showcased their friendship with a touch of humour and Bollywood nostalgia. The duo, known for their amusing antics, recently took social media by storm with a hilarious recreation of a famous scene from the 2003 Bollywood blockbuster, "Gangaajal."

The original scene shot in the rustic locales of Tejpur, Bihar, featured Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn and was a highlight of the film, which went on to become one of the highest-grossing Indian movies of its time.

In the viral video shared on Twitter, Ishan Kishan and fellow cricketer Mohammed Siraj could be seen gleefully applying cake to Shubman Gill's face. At the same time, Axar Patel played the role of the 'holding accomplice.'

What added a special touch to this cake-smearing escapade was the fact that Shubman Gill had celebrated his birthday with the Indian cricket team just a few days earlier, on September 8. The camaraderie among the players was on full display as they shared light-hearted moments during the festivities.

Turning our attention to their cricketing prowess, Gill has been making headlines with his splendid performances in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023. The young right-handed opener recently showcased his class by notching up consecutive half-centuries against Nepal and Pakistan. However, he did encounter a minor setback against Sri Lanka, where he was dismissed for 19 runs from 25 balls.

Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan, the left-handed batsman, had a memorable outing against Pakistan in the group stage. He played a pivotal role by scoring a blazing 82 runs off 81 balls, captivating fans with his aggressive stroke play. However, in the subsequent encounter against Sri Lanka, Kishan could only muster 33 runs off 61 balls. Fortunately, the Men in Blue secured victory in that match, winning by a margin of 41 runs.

With the Asia Cup 2023 in full swing, Indian fans have more reasons to be excited as their team has secured a spot in the finals. The grand showdown is scheduled for September 17 at the Premadasa Stadium.
