Kuldeep Yadav has made a lot of eye-catching headlines recently in the ongoing Asia Cup edition. The 28-year-old wrist spinner delivered some exceptional match-winning performances against Pakistan and Sri Lanka to power India to the finals.

He played a crucial role in India’s crucial victory against Sri Lanka on Tuesday where he returned with impressive figures of 4/43 in 9.3 overs on a track that offered a lot of assistance to the spinners. Prior to this fixture, Kuldeep derailed Pakistan by bagging a swashbuckling five-wicket haul of 5/25 handing their arch-rivals of of their worst defeats in international cricket.

In a conversation with his fellow teammate Surryakumar Yadav on BCCI TV, Kuldeep expressed that securing a five-wicket haul can ease the nerves of any bowler. But much further into the conversation, he reveals that it was that man behind his success story against Sri Lanka.

"You gave a pep talk before the game and asked me not to lose grip in this game. A bowler's body language changes after bagging a five-for. He gets relaxed, through the confidence remains. It often happens with a bowler. So, that two minutes of pep talk really helped," Kuldeep told Suryakumar in a conversation on bcci.tv.

He later went on to thank SKY for his valuable motivational talk that got him going for the straight third day against Sri Lanka.

"I was determined to give my best, given that we were back on the field third straight day. So, thanks for that, Surya Bhai," he added.

In the space of two games, Kuldeep looked in threatening form and amassed 9 wickets and conceded only 68 runs at only 3.82 RPO. While India await their opponent in the Asia Cup final, the Indian think tank will be rooting for Kuldeep Yadav hoping for him to deliver another stupendous performance to get the Men In Blue to their 8th Asia Cup title.
