Virat Kohli, one of the most celebrated cricketers in modern times, has carved out a place for himself as a premier batter. His wife, Anushka Sharma, is no less accomplished in her domain. 

As a successful Bollywood actress and producer, Anushka has garnered immense respect for her talent and work ethic. Together, they are a power couple admired in both the sports and entertainment industries, with a fan base that only seems to grow stronger.

Anushka Sharma’s Blatant Take on Her Successful Career

In an industry where public perception can often overshadow talent, Anushka Sharma has always been clear about what she wants to be known for. Back in the early days of her career, she addressed a question about why she hadn’t "stirred up the industry" like her contemporaries Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor. 

Anushka, in an interview with Bangalore Mirror, expressed that she was glad to be recognized for her talent rather than for her fashion choices or controversies.

After her debut in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, she went on to star in Badmaash Company and Band Baaja Baaraat, both of which were well-received and solidified her place in Bollywood. 

Despite delivering three hits in a row, she pointed out that the lack of hype around her didn’t bother her; she was content with being known for her hard work and dedication.

"I don't know. You tell me. Having given three hits back-to-back in three years, I wonder why there is not as much hype about me as them. (Pauses) Actually, I am glad that I am known for my talent and not for my clothes or controversies."

Anushka Sharma's Family

Anushka’s journey in Bollywood has been marked by her selective choice of roles and a desire to balance her professional and personal life. 

After marrying Virat Kohli in 2017 and welcoming their daughter Vamika in 2021, Anushka has focused more on her family. Recently, the couple welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Akaay. Taking to Instagram, the power couple announced the birth of their son.

The caption read, "With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay/akaay & Vamika's little brother into this world. We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time. Love & Gratitude. Virat & Anushka."

Amidst speculation that the couple might permanently shift to London, where they enjoy a more private life, they were often spotted hanging out on the streets of the city. Virat was seen carrying shopping bags and strolling, enjoying his break before the hectic Test schedule ahead.
