In a recent viral clip, Virat Kohli, accompanied by his wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, visited the revered Hanuman Garhi temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday. The spiritual visit comes just days after Kohli officially announced his retirement from Test cricket.

It is important to mention that the Hanuman Garhi temple, one of Ayodhya's most prominent and sacred sites dedicated to Lord Hanuman, is a popular destination for devotees seeking strength, protection, and spiritual guidance.

Virat Kohli & Anushka Sharma's Spiritual Journey

The couple, popularly known as 'Virushka,' were surrounded by heavy security as they made their way through large crowds of fans who had gathered outside the temple complex to catch a glimpse of the high-profile duo. Despite the chaos, both Kohli and Sharma maintained their composure and completed the darshan with full devotion.

During their Ayodhya visit, Kohli and Anushka Sharma were welcomed and assisted by senior priest Hemant Das of Hanuman Garhi, who facilitated the couple’s darshan and rituals. The duo also met Sanjay Dutt, successor of Mahant Gyan Das and the national president of the Sankat Mochan Sena.

The star cricketer was seen in a traditional cream-coloured kurta adorned with a flower garland, while Anushka looked graceful in a simple pink salwar suit. Watch the video here:

This visit follows closely after their recent spiritual outing to Vrindavan, where the couple, along with their children Vamika and Akaay Kohli, met Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj. Videos from that visit showed the couple in a humble and receptive posture, listening to the Maharaj's teachings on devotion, humility, and spiritual growth.

In recent times the celebrity couple have been frequently spotted together at temples, offering prayers and immersing themselves in moments of devotion.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2017, continue to balance their public roles with spiritual and family commitments. Their temple visit also precedes RCB’s upcoming IPL clash against Lucknow Super Giants, scheduled for May 27 at the Ekana Stadium.
