India's mystery spinner Varun Chakaravarthy, who was a part of the Asia Cup 2025 squad, recently took a strong stance against the viral Kaun Banega Crorepati kid on the social media platform X. The 10-year-old Ishit Bhatt went viral on the show for his apparent rude behaviour towards host Amitabh Bachchan.
Chakaravarthy took his time to write a long paragraph and defend the kid against online trolls on his personal X (formerly Twitter) account.
Why and how Varun is defending Ishit?
Ishit, who originates from Gujarat, became fodder for the trollers online after his impatient attitude and arrogant behaviour towards Amitabh Bachchan in KBC 17. In the episode, Ishit was seen being overconfident with his answers, and as he failed to answer a question later in the game, he was trolled heavily online.
Standing up for Ishit, Chakaravarthy slammed the online trolls for criticising a small kid.
"Example of how social media has become a place for cowards running their mouths without any sense! He is a kid for god sake !! Let him grow !! If u can't tolerate a kid, imagine the society still tolerating many nut cases like the ones commenting on this kid and much more!!!!!" Chakaravarthy wrote on his wall.
