Singer and reality TV personality Rahul Vaidya, who is currently gaining popularity for his stint on the cooking-based reality show Laughter Chefs 2, has once again found himself at the centre of controversy.
What Happened Between Rahul & Virat Kohli?
The incident erupted following the viral speculation surrounding Virat Kohli and actress Avneet Kaur. After fans noticed Kohli’s official Instagram handle had liked a post featuring the actress. The incident sparked a flurry of memes, fan theories, and sharp opinions on social media.
After the controversy, Rahul Vaidya had earlier mentioned that Virat Kohli had blocked him on Instagram, did not hold back when addressing the situation again.
Rahul Vaidya Slams Virat Kohli Fans
In a video uploaded by Instant Bollywood capturing him at the airport, Rahul addressed the social media storm that followed.
“After I commented on Virat Kohli, my wife, Disha Parmar, got trolled and my family was abused,” he shared. “Jis tarah ki gaaliyan mujhe, meri family, meri wife ko di hai, woh acha nahi hai,” he added, visibly disappointed by the backlash.
When questioned whether Kohli himself had abused him, Rahul clarified that the hate came from fans. “Unke fans ne. Isi liye maine kaha tha ki his fans are bigger jokers than him,” he said. ð
The reporter challenged Rahul, pointing out that perhaps he got such reactions because he insulted Kohli in the first place. Rahul responded, “Maine unhe kaha gaali di? Main toh fan hoon... cricket ka. But jo unhone mujhe block kiya hai, uska jawaab toh milega.”
In a witty exchange, when the photographer questioned whether Kohli had the time to block him, Rahul snapped back, “Toh phir humare pass bahut time hoga,” and walked off with a wave.

The drama continues to unfold, as neither Kohli nor his team have officially addressed Rahul Vaidya’s statements.
