This evening, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in match number 57 of the ongoing IPL 2025 season. While CSK have already been knocked out of the competition, it's a must-win affair for KKR to boost their playoffs qualification chances.

Rain Threatens KKR vs CSK IPL 2025 Match

As the Knight Riders get ready to take on the Super Kings, the weather at Eden Gardens in Kolkata doesn't look promising for a full-fledged affair. KKR have already been the victims of washouts, with rain playing spoilsport in their ninth group-stage encounter against Punjab Kings.

Interestingly, that game was also played at Eden Gardens, and as the defending champions gear up for this riveting contest, inclement weather could once again jeopardise their campaign.

Rain Affected Matches In IPL 2025

The 44th group-stage encounter between Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings was the first IPL 2025 match to be called off due to rain. Inclement weather also played a part in RCB vs PBKS and MI vs GT matches, while an incessant downpour in Hyderabad forced the match officials to abandon the high-profile SRH vs DC clash.
