It seems spirituality flows naturally among Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) members. Following Virat Kohli’s recent visit to Premanand Ji Maharaj, RCB head coach Andy Flower was spotted in the holy city of Rishikesh on International Yoga Day.

However, Andy Flower’s visit to the spiritual hub wasn’t just about sightseeing as it carried a deeper purpose. Marking the occasion of International Yoga Day on June 21, the veteran coach took part in yoga practices aimed at both physical and mental well-being.

Andy Flower Delves In Yoga And Spirituality

Speaking to ANI, Flower expressed how much he valued the experience and the lessons he learned during his stay.

“It's been brilliant being in Rishikesh on International Yoga Day. I have been in Rishikesh for the last two weeks. I have been learning a lot about yoga, and the main thing I have learnt is that yoga is not about an hour class, but it is a way of life for hundreds of millions of people. I have really enjoyed the physical practices that I have done,” Andy said.

Adding to RCB’s spiritual narrative, Rajat Patidar had also visited the Tirumala Temple ahead of the playoffs to seek divine blessings for the team, prayers that seemingly bore fruit.

Flower Makes RCB Lift Maiden IPL Trophy

Flower’s spiritual journey comes shortly after guiding RCB to their maiden IPL title in 2025. Under his mentorship and with new captain Rajat Patidar at the helm, the Bengaluru-based franchise lifted the trophy after 17 years of heartbreak.

RCB defeated Punjab Kings by six runs in the final. Virat Kohli also played a crucial knock of 43 runs and was seen emotionally hugging Flower in the aftermath of the win. Notably, Andy Flower now holds one of the most decorated coaching résumés in world cricket, having led teams to titles in the T20 World Cup, PSL, ILT20, The Hundred, Abu Dhabi T10, and now the IPL.
