Shaheen Afridi brings Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe together for a warm pre-Tri-series dinner

Pakistan pace maverick and ODI captain Shaheen Afridi hosted a dinner party for the visiting players of Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe cricket teams ahead of their T20I tri-series. The speedster hosted the party in Islamabad, not far away from Rawalpindi where Pakistan will be hosting the third ODI against Sri Lanka as well as the entirety of the upcoming tri-nation T20I rubber.

Shaheen Afridi’s gesture added a touch of warmth and sportsmanship to the build-up, reflecting Pakistan’s commitment to fostering camaraderie among visiting teams.

Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe break bread before series

On Saturday, November 15; a viral social media video indicated that Pakistan ODI captain Shaheen Afridi hosted the visiting Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe teams for a dinner party. As reported by geosuper.tv, Shaheen hosted the feast at a restaurant in Islamabad.

The party was also attended by the T20I and ODI squads of the Pakistan cricket teams, as all three sides gathered for a relaxed evening to strengthen bonds and share a light moment before the action begins.

Pakistan players like Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Haris Rauf, T20I captain Salman Agha as well as Mohammad Nawaz among others can be seen engaging in cheerful conversations, embracing the occasion with smiles as the teams mingled comfortably.

Among the visitors, Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga and Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza headlined the occasion alongside the rest of their respective teammates in Islamabad.

The T20I tri-series is set to commence from November 18 onwards with a match between Zimbabwe and hosts Pakistan. All seven matches of the series, including the final, will be hosted by the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.

Before the tri-series, the Pakistan cricket team will first go up against Sri Lanka in the third ODI of their three-match series at the same venue on November 16.
