Salman Khan Joins Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan Among Others
Salman Khan now owns a cricket team, albeit in a T10 tennis ball tournament, the ISPL in India. The veteran actor seems to have followed Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan, who owns the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Set to own a New Delhi-based franchise, the Bollywood actor has now joined a slew of personalities from the Indian film industry.
Fellow Bollywood actors like Hrithik Roshan own Bangalore Strikers, Ram Charan owns Falcon Risers Hyderabad, Amitabh Bachchan owns defending champions Majhi Mumbai, Akshay Kumar owns Srinagar Ke Veer and star couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan own Tigers of Kolkata.
Earlier this year, the Amitabh Bachchan-owned Majhi Mumbai won the ISPL 2025 title by defeating Akshay Kumar’s Srinagar Ke Veer in a thrilling final. Batting first, the Srinagar Ke Veer team mounted 120-5 from 10 overs. The Majhi Mumbai ended up chasing down its target with three wickets and three balls to spare.
Back in 2024, the Tigers of Kolkata lighted up the inaugural edition of the T10 competition by crushing Majhi Mumbai in a lop-sided final.
