The most awaited moment of IPL 2024 was over as MS Dhoni stepped onto the ground for his first IPL 2024 batting appearance at the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam.  

The Vizag crowd went into roaring applause in support of the veteran during the 13th Match match against Delhi Capitals. The crowd was eagerly waiting for MS Dhoni to step onto the field to witness his batting was the most anticipated and exciting moment for the fans. 

MS Dhoni played an explosive knock of 37* runs in 16 balls against Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals. MSD's knock was a complete masterclass to watch and he displayed a dynamic style of play-bashing three sixes and four boundaries. 


MS Dhoni Sparked Injury Concern 

MS Dhoni also grabbed the headlines as he was enjoying a good time with some of his former India teammates on the ground Kuldeep Yadav, Rishabh Pant and Khaleel Ahmed before making a priceless gesture for the Vizag ground staff. 

A few Vizag ground staff approached MS Dhoni and he posed for a photograph with them this touching gesture went viral on social media. 

However, amid these visuals, Dhoni was limping while wearing an ice pack on his leg. The 42-year-old was in absolute discomfort as he limped towards the groundsmen, wearing an ice pack on his left calf muscle. This scene sparked concerns in the minds of fans and cricket lovers. 

CSK have been on a winning streak with back-to-back victories but suffered the first defeat against Delhi Capitals and CSK will play their next game on April 5, 2024, against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
