After a convincing and successful tournament in Sri Lanka, the Indian team has returned to India. On the account of Ganesh Chaturthi, the Indian captain Rohit Sharma posted a picture of him celebrating the occasion by welcoming the god at his home.

Rohit Sharma recently won his second Asia Cup trophy as a captain. He won the first one back in 2018 when the Asia Cup took place in the United Arab Emirates. Now the team India will head to the series against Australia, followed by the biggest event of the year i.e., World Cup 2023. 

Captain Rohit will not be featuring in the first two ODIs of the upcoming ODI series against Australia as the senior players are rested. KL Rahul will be leading the team for the first two games, and the senior players will be back in the third game.

Today, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, a few of the cricketers have been seen celebrating and welcoming the Lord Ganesh. Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma, these three have been seen on social media celebrating the festival and doing the rituals.

The Indian Captain was seen visiting Tirupati Temple on a few occasions and now he has posted a photo of him welcoming the Lord Ganesh while performing the 'aarti'. The Indian team will be needing some blessings from the god as well for the upcoming World Cup and the captain is already seeking the blessing. 

India will be kickstarting their World Cup campaign on the 8th of October against the Australian team at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk.
