Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta attended Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on April 4 to support her team in their away IPL 2024 match against Gujarat Titans.

After unlikely heroes Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma pulled off a miraculous run-chase, the co-owner caught up with the two cricketers and snapped a selfie to commemorate her evening.

She shared the picture of their union on her social media accounts alongside a caption that reads:“When the going gets tough, the tough get going 👏👏 Post match selfie with the deadly duo Shashank Singh & Ashutosh Sharma. Absolutely love the way they dominated the game in a thrilling run chase 👊 Wow !!!"

Chasing 200, Shashank Singh had made his way to the middle at 70-4 at the halfway stage of the innings. The 32-year-old ended up bashing a career-best 61* off just 29 balls and shared crucial partnerships with Sikandar Raza (15 off 16), Jitesh Sharma (16 off eight) and Ashutosh Sharma (31 off 17 balls).

Shashank and Ashutosh’s collective efforts helped Punjab Kings mow down Gujarat Titans total with a ball and three wickets to spare.

The Punjab Kings will now face SRH in match number 23 of the IPL 2024 season on April 9 at Mullanpur.
