Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) owner Sanjiv Goenka visited the Tirupati Tirumala temple in Andra Pradesh just a day prior to the resumption of the IPL 2025 season. With LSG’s playoffs prospects now hanging in the balance, one can assume that Sanjiv visited the temple to seek divine blessings for his team.

With IPL 2025 resumption nearing by, the LSG franchise will resume its campaign with a match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday, May 19. The match will be hosted by the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

Lucknow Super Giants owner and RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group chairman Sanjiv Goenka attended the Tirupati Tirumala temple in Andra Pradesh along with his family on Friday, May 16. Sanjiv also shared pictures of his spiritual visit to the temple on his social media accounts.

The temple, dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, is one of the most sacred religious sites in India.

Earlier this month, the IPL 2025 season was put to a halt by the BCCI in light of India’s geo-political tensions with Pakistan. Prior to the suspension, the LSG franchise secured five wins and sustained six defeats from 11 matches to accumulate 10 points.

At the moment, Rishabh Pant and co. are ranked seventh on the IPL 2025 points table. In a bid to entertain their chances of securing a playoffs berth, LSG needs to win each of their remaining three matches.

Notably, they started off with four wins from the first six matches, before losing track by suffering four defeats in their last five games.

The LSG group, under the leadership of Rishabh Pant, will now face the SRH in Lucknow on Monday, May 19 from 7:30 PM IST onwards.
