After defeating Afghanistan by 47 runs in their T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 meeting, India will play their second match of the round on Saturday (June 22) against Bangladesh at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

In between, India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Bangladesh's Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Delhi. After that, Modi remarked about the relationship between India and Bangladesh.

Moving on, he wished all the very best to both India and Bangladesh, who initially met in a warm-up game before the World Cup in the USA began. After that, the tournament moved to the West Indies, with India performing extremely well in both legs.

PM Modi Wishes IND, BAN All The Best

"Our shared culture and vibrant people-to-people exchanges are the foundation of our relations. We have taken the decision to raise scholarships, training and capacity building. For the people coming from Bangladesh to India, India will be providing them with E-Visa services. For the people in north-west Bangladesh, we have decided to open a new Assistant High Commission in Rangpur. For the match between India and Bangladesh happening tonight, I wish both teams luck."

Will Bangladesh produce a more spirited performance after Modi's comments? We shall find it out soon.
