Recently Namibia's skipper, Gerhard Erasmus expressed his special invite request to BCCI; asking India to visit Namibia for a little 'warm-up' before India travels to South Africa for their four-match T20I series in November.

He smartly responded to a tweet shared by the Proteas Men official Twitter account, announcing India's Tour and said,"Hey @BCCI, warm-up in Windhoek? 🫶"

Namibia Skipper Gerhard Erasmus' Special Request To BCCI And Rohit Sharma and Co

Interestingly, Namibia has been a part of three T20 World Cups, with the most recent one being the high-voltage 2024 season. While, they did make an impressive debut by reaching the Super 12 stage in 2021, they haven't progressed further since then.

Erasmus' proposal to host India, would undeniably provide them with a lot of exposure and also develop future opportunities for them.

While BCCI has not responded to this, it still remains a big question whether Rohit Sharma and Co would be playing against Namibia.

Meanwhile, regarding the India tour of South Africa 2024, the week-long tour will begin on November 8. The first game will be played at Gqeberha, followed by Centurion, and the final game will be played at Johannesburg on 15th November.
