Shah Rukh Khan, co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders, who often remains silent with posts on his social media handle, recently penned down a massive appreciation post for Andre Russell, who hung up his boots from IPL.

Notably, Russell joined the KKR camp as a staff member now with a designation called the 'power coach,' which was acknowledged by the franchise on their social media handle as well as Shah Rukh Khan himself too.

Taking to his X handle, @iamsrk, Shah Rukh Khan shared a heartfelt post thanking Andre Russell for his contributions to the franchise.

"Thank you for the wonderful memories, Andre. Our knight in shining armor!!! Your contribution to @KKRiders is one for the books… And here’s to another chapter in your fantastic journey as a sportsman… The power coach—passing down the wisdom, the muscle, and of course the power down to our boys in purple and gold..." Shah Rukh Khan wrote.

SRK exclaims 'Love You...' for Russell in post!

Andre Russell, who has been a core member of the team since 2014, has 2651 runs under his name at an average of 28.20 while striking at 174.17 in 140 matches. SRK further took a dig at Russell with the 'other jerseys' comment since the Caribbean monster, in his retirement post, mentioned that he doesn't want to wear any other jersey other than KKR's.

"And yes, any other jersey would indeed look weird on you, my man... Muscle Russell for life! Love you… on behalf of the team and everyone who loves the sport!!" SRK concluded.

Andre Russell has been a powerhouse for the team since his debut for the franchise. From pivoting losses to wins to monstrous sixes, Russell was the heartbeat of the team, and as he signs off, KKR looks to make the best use of him with the role of a power coach that would likely see him handle the power-hitting responsibilities of the KKR batter.
