The four-day gap between the third and fourth T20Is between India and hosts Australia seems to have arrived as a welcome breather, at least for the visiting ‘Men in Blue’ group. Still a couple of days away from the all-important fourth T20I match at the Carrara Oval in Gold Coast, young Indian openers Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill hit the coastal city’s beach to unwind themselves amidst a hectic cricketing schedule.

Both cricketers have been on a relentless run of fixtures off late, considering the ongoing white-ball tour of Australia was preceded by a home Test series against West Indies, where Shubman Gill served as skipper. Around the same time, Abhishek Sharma featured in a handful of List A games against Australia A in Kanpur. Moreover, both Shubman and Abhishek were also Team India openers at the 2025 Men’s T20 Asia Cup just roughly a month ago in the UAE.

Indian openers and Punjab lads Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill found time to unwind themselves at the Gold Coast beach in Australia. Just a day prior to the fourth T20I match between Australia and India, Abhishek shared pictures of their leisure time on his Instagram account.

Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill will continue to open the innings for Team India in the fourth T20I match against Australia at the Carrara Oval in Gold Coast. The action will commence from 1:45 PM IST onwards on Thursday, November 6.

While Australia won the second T20I by four wickets after the washout of Canberra, Team India fought back with a five-wicket triumph in Hobart to level the five-match series 1-1.

The series serves as a crucial dress rehearsal for both sides ahead of next year’s 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.
